Stewart-Haas Racing Makes New Sales Hires Amid Pandemic

Stewart-Haas Racing has made two new sales hires that will be announced later today, as it looks to bolster its sponsorship procurement efforts despite the advertising slowdown during the pandemic. SHR named Feld Entertainment co-Head of Global Partnerships BRIAN MCKINLEY VP/Sales and MITCH STEINER Sales Analyst. Steiner will report to McKinley, who will report to Exec VP/Sales & Marketing MIKE VERLANDER. Verlander told THE DAILY that Steiner, who previously interned for SHR, will devise a new proprietary system for the team that has a formula to determine whether a company is likely to be receptive to a potential NASCAR sponsorship. Verlander said that the team execs convinced co-Owners TONY STEWART and GENE HAAS that despite the negative effects of the pandemic, now is a good time to double down on SHR’s sales efforts to position itself well moving forward.
