NFL Media Notes: Jimmy Johnson Won't Travel For Fox Pregame Show

Johnson wrote on Twitter he will not be in Fox Sports' L.A. studio for the time being due to the pandemicFOX SPORTS

Fox' Jimmy Johnson revealed that he will "do his broadcasting work from home because of the pandemic." The 77-year-old Johnson wrote on Twitter he will not be in Fox Sports' L.A. studio "for the time being due to the pandemic," but added he "will still contribute" to "Fox NFL Sunday" (NBCSPORTS.com, 8/13).

NO HARD FEELINGS: Former NFLer Chris Cooley, a "fixture in the booth" for the Washington NFL team since '13, "will not be a part" of the radio broadcast this season. Cooley on Thursday said that he has "known he wasn't in the team's broadcast or media plans going forward for 'a while' and that he had 'no hard feelings' about the decision." He said that he will "no longer record podcasts for the team and encouraged fans to give the new broadcast team some time to make an impression" (WASHINGTON POST, 8/14).

LET'S RUN IT BACK: The Browns have signed extensions with Entercom and Good Karma Brands "to be the team's flagship partners." Entercom is the owner of WKRK-FM and WNCX-FM, while Good Karma owns ESPN Radio 850 Cleveland. The new deal "extends an agreement that united the rival sports stations" back in '13. The extension "continues regular weekly programming" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 8/14).
