The NBA named Standard Bank Group Exec Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Africa Regions VICTOR WILLIAMS NBA Africa CEO. Williams will oversee the league's basketball and business development initiatives in Africa and will be responsible for continuing to grow the popularity of basketball and the NBA across the continent (NBA).

NHL TEAM MOVES: The Kraken named three new hires: MSG Senior VP & Exec Producer of Event Representation JONNY GRECO to Senior VP/Live Entertainment & Game Production; Coyotes Senior Dir of Game Presentation LAMONT BUFORD to VP/Game Presentation; and ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones Dir of Media Relations & Broadcasting EVERETT FITZHUGH to Team Broadcaster. Greco also has worked with the Marlins, Blue Jackets, Cavaliers and WWE, and he helped create the Golden Knights' game presentation (Kraken)....The Panthers and GM DALE TALLON have mutually agreed to part ways following a 10-year tenure with the club. The Panthers announced that an organizational search will begin for the franchise's next GM immediately (Panthers).

CHANGE IN COLLEGE RANKS: Learfield IMG College Chief Communications & Marketing Officer BILL PALEN is no longer with the company after his position was eliminated. Palen, a PR veteran who came from the agency world in '18 to join Learfield IMG College, previously worked at FleishmanHillard in Dallas (Michael Smith, THE DAILY).

ALLIED FORCES: Allied Sports added 16W Marketing's BRIAN NELSONRALPH VUONO and TARA KOLARSICK to its Talent Marketing practice. Nelson and Vuono will lead talent and influencer marketing, respectively, as Senior VPs, and Kolarsick will join as a Senior Account Exec supporting the agency’s Brand Marketing vertical. Clients coming to Allied with the move include corporate consulting client Quest Diagnostics, handled by Vuono since '13 (Allied Sports).

EXECS: All of the WarnerMedia production operations are "now being rolled into one unit." The reorganization "puts a single person," Warner Bros. Chair & CEO ANN SARNOFF, "in charge of all content that will be distributed on the company's many platforms." Before joining Warner Bros., Sarnoff had "several senior positions in media and sports" including the BBC, Viacom Inc. and the WNBA (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/8).
