FC Cincinnati Stadium Construction Paused Due To Racist Incidents

Turner Construction officials said that two "'racist incidents' prompted a shutdown" to work on FC Cincinnati's soccer stadium, according to Cameron Knight of the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER. Turner Construction VP & GM David Spaulding said that work "will only continue once 'every single person on the site' has participated in anti-bias training." A company statement said that work was suspended "'to send a message' about the seriousness of this issue and to provide time for the training." Turner officials "did not discuss the details of what happened on the job site." Construction began on the $250M stadium in December '18 and is "slated for completion" in the spring of '21 (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 8/4).
