William Hill U.S. To Expand Through Eldorado's Caesars Acquisition

The sports betting footprint of William Hill U.S. is "about to get significantly larger," as yesterday, the Nevada Gaming Commission "gave its thumbs-up" to Eldorado Resorts’ $17.3B bid to acquire Caesars Entertainment, according to Patrick Everson of COVERS.com. Assuming the deal "clears similar hurdles in Indiana and New Jersey, Eldorado Resorts would take over Caesars' casino properties all across the country." William Hill U.S. is "already the exclusive sportsbook partner with Eldorado" through a September '18 agreement, which means William Hill U.S. will "ultimately operate all books currently run by Caesars Entertainment." Provided Eldorado "gets the expected approval from Indiana and New Jersey to complete the acquisition, William Hill U.S. would then operate Caesars brick-and-mortar books in those states as well." William Hill U.S. also would "expand its mobile app footprint in Nevada, Indiana and New Jersey" through the deal (COVERS.com, 7/8).
