Patriots Announce Guidelines For Fans If Allowed At Gillette Stadium

If fans are allowed at Gillette Stadium this fall, none will pay to park and all will use mobile tickets, the Patriots told season-ticket holders in a letter today. Separately, the Titans became at least the 10th NFL team to promise fans they can opt out of the '20 season without losing their season-ticket status for next year. The Patriots, who were among the first teams to announce a plan to defer the '20 season, announced both changes to eliminate gameday touch points and minimize the spread of COVID-19 at the stadium. Until now, all Patriots season-ticket holders received paper tickets. The Patriots said they want fans to declare if they intend to opt out of the season by July 31. In their own letter to fans, the Titans said all season-ticket holders can either opt out of '20 and roll their payments over to '21, or seek a refund on '20 altogether. In both cases, status would be protected, the team told THE DAILY. On Friday, the Packers also sent a similar letter to fans allowing for opt outs. All three letters followed what is now becoming a familiar script across the NFL: Warning fans that full capacities seem highly unlikely at this time, but teams do not yet know how local regulations will apply and therefore cannot say with certainty how limited tickets will be distributed.
