UMass Boston Vice Chancellor of Athletic, Recreation, Special Projects & Programs CHARLIE TITUS, the "pioneer" of the school's athletic program, will "retire at the end of June after 40 years as the university's athletic leader." Titus was UMass Boston's first AD in the late '70s and "helped shape" the school into the D-III program it is today (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/13)....Georgia Southern named Auburn Sports Properties VP & GM CHRIS DAVIS Deputy AD (SAVANNAH MORNING NEWS, 6/15)....The Knicks named Pelicans scout ALEX KLINE to the same position. Kline was "still in high school when he started a college basketball recruiting website, the Recruit Scoop, and was profiled in the New York Times at just 17 years old." Kline "sold his website to Yahoo" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 6/13).
