Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren said the conference is "in the process of finalizing the details" of its Big Ten Conference Anti-Hate & Anti-Racism Coalition. Appearing on ESPN Radio's "Golic & Wingo," Warren said, "The best thing we all can do during this period of time is to listen. The first step, even before you can take tangible action, is you have to listen, you have to communicate." Warren said the "core" of the coalition "will be our student-athletes." He added, "We're working with our different schools to make sure that we get the appropriate names of student-athletes who are interested, but also who have a strong voice in this area." Warren: "I've always challenged myself, and I've challenged people, to make sure that you open the door for people who have been maybe marginalized. I totally understand that this is not a job for me. This is really a mission" (“Golic & Wingo,” ESPN Radio, 6/5).
