Arizona Bowl Partners With SeatGeek For Mobile-First Ticketing

The Arizona Bowl is the first college bowl game to partner with SeatGeek and will use the company’s mobile-first ticketing platform. Fans attending the game will now be able to buy, transfer and scan their tickets using SeatGeek’s online platform. SeatGeek VP/Client Partnerships Jeff Ianello told THE DAILY that SeatGeek is looking for more clients in the college space because bowls are a fit for the company’s business model and philosophy. “We thought it made a lot of sense to expose people that were traveling for a great experience that had this real affinity towards a school they support,” Ianello said. The deal with the Arizona Bowl came about because of Ianello’s prior relationships with the bowl’s Exec Dir Kym Adair and VP/Communications Eric Rhodes, Ianello said. He said it is a "great fit for us from a cultural fit and technical standpoint," as the Arizona Bowl "wants to be on the more progressive side of bowl games.” Rhodes said it is a multiyear agreement. Financial details were not disclosed.
