Franchise Notes

In Tampa, Marc Topkin notes "about a dozen Rays players" yesterday took part in the second day of limited workouts at Tropicana Field. Players were "limited to playing catch, running on the field and doing light weight work and other exercises, with no access to mounds, batting cages, weight room or clubhouse." They had their "temperature checked on the way in, wore masks except when working out and adhered to social distancing guidelines, working out in groups of two on a staggered schedule." A similar workout at the ballpark "will be held Friday" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 5/28).

HOT TICKET: In Las Vegas, Case Keefer writes it is "safe to conclude that seeing the Raiders live won't be a cheap proposition." On SeatGeek, the Raiders "rank first among NFL franchises in both ticket sales and search traffic." They are "second in both categories on rival StubHub," behind the Cowboys in sales and behind the Buccaneers in traffic. The cheapest ticket for the Raiders' Week 2 Monday Night Football game against the Saints "was $606 on SeatGeek." The average price for the Saints-Raiders was $911, "making it the most expensive regular-season game in the league by more than $200" (LAS VEGAS SUN, 5/28).

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER: In Michigan, Lauren Williams reported the Pistons on Tuesday night "hosted a webinar about mental health." The session "included a panel discussion with experts in the mental health field." Led by Pistons team psychotherapist Dr. Corey Yeager, the panel included Pistons Player Development Coach JD Dubois; former Piston Earl Cureton; Henry Ford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services Chair Dr. Cathrine Frank; and the Children's Foundation President & CEO Larry Burns (MLIVE.com, 5/27).
