U.S. Soccer Chief Counsel LYDIA WAHLKE has resigned following the "completion of an outside law firm's review of the process of U.S. Soccer's now-disowned legal strategy arguing that women inherently had less skill, ability and responsibility than men." No U.S. Soccer BOD members are "expected to lose their positions" (TWITTER.com, 5/21)....Nationals Senior VP & General Counsel DAMON JONES has joined law firm Covington & Burling's Sports practice in their DC office. Jones during his tenure represented the club in various corporate transactions, including deals involving media rights, sponsorships, merchandising, technology transfers and other IP arrangements, as well as ballpark/venue development, use and lease agreements (Covington & Burling).
