Titans President & CEO STEVE UNDERWOOD is retiring from that position, but will "remain in the organization as a special advisor" to Controlling Owner AMY ADAMS STRUNK. Underwood has been with the franchise for 40 years, dating back to its days as the Houston Oilers. He played an "instrumental role in the franchise’s relocation to Nashville" after the '96 season. Underwood retired as Titans Senior Exec VP, General Counsel & COO in '11, but returned in '15 to his current role (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 5/8).

EXECS: Harvard named Univ. of Chicago AD ERIN MCDERMOTT to the same position. She is the first female to be named to that position at Harvard. She brings 25 years of experience in "sports administration to the appointment, which begins July 1." McDermott described her new role as one of "enormous opportunity" (HARVARD GAZETTE, 5/8)....The NFL Panthers named former Eagles national scout PAT STEWART Dir of Player Personnel. Stewart "spent the last two years with the Eagles after 11 with the Patriots," and he also worked with Panthers coach MATT RHULE at "both Western Carolina and Temple" (NBCSPORTS.com, 5/7).
