Jeff Volk, Sports Execs Launch Sport Hiatus To Inform Amid Unique Time

Volk views Sport Hiatus as a passion project that he hopes helps others in the industrySPORTS BUSINESS JOURNAL

Jeff Volk, founder of VC Sports with communities in N.Y., Boston, S.F. and London, last month helped launch SportHiatus.com to recognize and celebrate the innovation, leadership and creativity across the sports industry happening during this window with limited live sports. The website is still in its infancy, but Volk said Sport Hiatus currently is focusing on creating original content, which consist of blogs and thought pieces on various topics in the industry. Volk hopes to continue adding video content as well, after Sport Hiatus debuted its inaugural "Office Hours" live event last week with Micromanagement Ventures' John Kosner and LightShed Partners' Rich Greenfield. Sport Hiatus is being run by Volk and three others, all of whom view this as a passion project. All the costs associated with the development and operation of the website are being funded personally by the four. There are plans to launch a job section on the site, as well as a "Share Your Stories" section, which could comprise of leadership quotes and inspirational elements or create an avenue to help people in need.
