Nike Promotes Social Distancing In Ad, Opens Up Training Club App

Nike is encouraging "quarantining and social distancing" in an ad posted on social media, joining other companies "who have promoted messages aiming to curb the pandemic or reassure consumers during the crisis," according to Ann-Christine Diaz of AD AGE. The ad, via Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, contains Nike's swoosh with the message, "If you ever dreamed of playing for millions around the world, now is your chance. Play inside, play for the world." The post "coincides with Nike's announcement that premium programming on its Nike Training Club app is now accessible to users free of charge." The subscription-based service includes streaming workouts, progressive training programs and "expert tips from Nike Master trainers" (ADAGE.com, 3/21).
