Tim Duncan has "endorsed presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg in a new, 30-second ad focusing on the former New York City mayor's recovery aid in the U.S. Virgin Islands," according to Orsborn & Mendoza of the SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS. Duncan "speaks about the presidential candidate's 'true compassion' in aiding his native islands after Hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the area." The ad, which was published on Bloomberg's YouTube channel yesterday, was "paid for by Bloomberg's campaign and approved by the candidate" (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, 2/19). FOXNEWS.com's Ryan Gaydos noted current and former NBA stars and coaches are usually do not "shy away from the political spotlight," but Duncan has become one of the first to "outright support a candidate."
