Key Dolphins Players Left Out Of Team's '20 Promotional Video

The Dolphins on Sunday posted a one-minute video promo for the '20 NFL season, but numerous team leaders, Pro Bowlers and other key players "had been excluded," according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida SUN SENTINEL. The video features the words, "2020 season is here. The work has already begun," and opens with GM Chris Grier outlining his desire to "create a culture." The Dolphins' draft room is shown, and the video features "national pundits talking about how Miami has an unprecedented number of draft picks (13-14), and $100 million in cap space." Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick "wasn't featured once in the video." But considering he had been "flirting with retirement until announcing he would play" last week, one can "excuse that omission." Pro Bowl CB Xavien Howard also was excluded, but he has a "troublesome legal issue to address." However, Kelly wonders why Pro Bowl S Reshad Jones, C Daniel Kilgore (a team captain) and LB Jerome Baker, the team's leading tackler, were "left out." This is the "stuff players pay attention to in the offseason." They "know stuff like these promotional videos cross the desk of the team's decision-makers and nothing used, or more importantly omitted, is accidental" (South Florida SUN SENTINEL, 2/4).
