Auburn Posts Over $13M In Profit, Record Revenue For FY '18-19
Auburn athletics reported "record revenue and an increased profit" to the NCAA for FY '18-19, according to Tom Green of AL.com. The department recorded more than $152.4M in revenue and nearly $13.2M in profit for the year, an increase of nearly $5M year over year and the "highest revenue total in program history." It marks the "sixth straight year that Auburn has seen an increase in overall revenue." The nearly $13.2M operating surplus is the department's "fourth-highest" since '06, representing the "fifth straight year" that it has turned a profit. The school reported $31.9M in ticket sales over the last year, a decrease from FY '17-18, as well as $35.2M in contributions, a "decrease of more than $400,000" from FY '17-18. Auburn also earned $40.1M in media rights and $13.5M in combined "NCAA and conference distributions" (AL.com, 1/23).
