Longtime Turner Sports NCAA sales lead KATY CHAMBERS MOLLICA has joined the LA28-USOPC joint venture as Head of Partnership Sales. She will report to CHRIS PEPE, Chief Commercial Officer of U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Properties, which controls the rights to the '28 L.A. Games and Team USA rights through the end of '28. Mollica will work from the group's N.Y. offices as part of Legends Global Partnerships' sales representation for USOPP. Legends also helped recruit and hire her. LA28 has set a goal of $2.5B in domestic sponsorship sales. Named an SBJ Power Player in college sports in July, Mollica spent nearly 10 years in NCAA sales for Turner (Ben Fischer, THE DAILY).

NOT IN THE CARDS: NFL Cardinals Exec VP & COO RON MINEGAR "informed the team he will be stepping down from his role" this spring. Minegar, who joined the team from Disney Sports in '00, was responsible for "developing the club's annual strategic plan and overseeing all aspects of the Cardinals' business operations." Last August, he was "suspended for six weeks without pay by the team" after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 1/11).

EXECS: The U.S. Soccer Federation named former USMNT F BRIAN MCBRIDE USMNT GM, effective immediately. McBride will report to U.S. Soccer Sporting Dir EARNIE STEWART (USSF)....The CFL Montreal Alouettes named Univ. of Montreal football coach DANNY MACIOCIA GM and former Corus Media Quebec President and former Astral Radio Senior VP/Sales & Marketing MARIO CECCHINI President. The two appointments were "hinted at almost immediately" after the sale of the team to Ontario-based steel magnates SID SPIEGEL and GARY STERN was announced last Monday. Sales and marketing are two of the Alouettes' "most immediate challenges" (MONTREAL GAZETTE, 1/13)....Excel Sports Management promoted VPs/Marketing STIRLING EADS and COLLEEN GARRITY to Senior VPs (Excel Sports Management)....The Univ. of Georgia promoted Deputy AD JOSH BROOKS to Senior Deputy AD and Exec Associate AD WILL LAWLER to Deputy Dir of Compliance (UGA)....Greenwood Racing named ERIC HAUSLER CEO. Hausler had been VICI Properties Dir and Chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/11).
