Allegiant Stadium is set to become the "most connected stadium in the NFL" through its partnership with Cox Business, as the Raiders' 65,000-seat facility will "feature the fastest optical internet service available," according to Mick Akers of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. Allegiant Stadium will be "covered by 1,700 managed Wi-Fi access points and backed by redundant 40-gigabit optical internet connections that will deliver high-speed bandwidth for every mobile device in the venue." Cox -- a founding stadium partner and the official Wi-Fi and internet provider of the Raiders -- will "power nearly 2,200 Cisco Vision dynamic screens and signs throughout the stadium," as well as an "interactive game-day activation unique to the Raiders." Other "engaging activations" will include the Cox Virtual Meet and Greet, which will "create memorable moments for fans by changing the way they interact with the game and their favorite athletes" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 1/8). NFL Senior VP & Chief Information Officer Michelle McKenna said, “We’re going to get to see a great example of technology done right when the stadium opens here in Las Vegas." Speaking during a panel at CES yesterday, McKenna said, "Every time a new stadium gets built, you have a chance to up your game, and with the connectivity going online there, we’re looking very forward to the fan experience that’s going to happen in Las Vegas" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 1/8).

GIVING BACK: The REVIEW-JOURNAL's Akers notes through the Raiders Foundation, fans can "purchase Legacy Bricks" that will "surround the front entrance of Allegiant Stadium." An 8x8 "Logo Brick and Replica Package" costs $1,500, while a 4x 8 brick costs $850. These Legacy Bricks with personalized fan messages are "set to be installed in time for the Raiders inaugural season in Las Vegas." All funds raised through the Legacy Brick Program will "benefit the Raiders Foundation" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 1/8).
