KSE President & CEO Jim Martin Retiring From His Position

Martin's retirement ends his 15-year tenure with KSE, nine of them as President & CEOkroenke sports & entertainment

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment President & CEO JIM MARTIN is "retiring from his position," according to sources cited by Mike Singer of the DENVER POST. A source said that Martin stepped down at the end of business Tuesday, as KSE "finds itself embroiled in a protracted dispute with two of Altitude Sports' largest television distributors." Martin's retirement ends his 15-year tenure with the company, nine of them as President & CEO. A source said that Martin's decision to "step away is unrelated" to the Altitude Sports negotiations, and that it had "been in the works for some time." Martin and KSE Exec VP & COO MATT HUTCHINGS have been "heavily involved in talks" with DirecTV, Dish Network and Comcast since Altitude's contracts "lapsed with the three carriers in late August." Martin also "played a key role in Altitude coming to terms with DirecTV on a multi-year agreement in October" (DENVER POST, 1/1).
