Buyers & Sellers: Dwyane Wade Cuts Miami Beach Home Price To $29M
DWYANE WADE listed his Miami Beach mansion for sale in September for $32.5M, but with "no takers, he just lowered the price" to $29M. Wade about a year ago paid around $6M for an 8,650-square-foot home in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of L.A. The Miami Beach home is nearly 12,000 square feet and "sits on an acre overlooking Biscayne Bay." Outdoor amenities include a "cabana with a kitchen and a Miami Heat-themed basketball court." Inside the home are six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, and a "wine cellar and movie theater" for entertaining. The master suite "expands to an office and marble bathroom, as well as an ocean-view deck" (L.A. TIMES, 12/12).
SLASHING PRICES: CASEY WASSERMAN has put his "ultra-modern" mansion in Beverly Hills back on the market for $82.5M, or $42.5M "shy of his original asking price." The "staggering sum is a reflection of the property's prime location." Set "just above Sunset Boulevard, the property claims 3.25 acres with lush lawns and sweeping city views" (L.A. TIMES, 12/7)....NORMA HUNT, the widow of late former Chiefs Founder LAMAR HUNT, has lowered the price for her Napa Valley vineyard ranch by $4.95M to $15M. The four-bed, four-bathroom home spans 6,615 square feet and "sits on 40 acres of ranch and vineyard" (San Jose MERCURY NEWS, 12/6).
BACK & FORTH: Free agent WR BRANDON MARSHALL has "taken an interesting route" in selling his Southwest Ranches, Fla., home, as he has "lowered the price twice, then increased it three times" since listing the property in '14, and now is listing the mansion for $4.799M. Marshall purchased the home for $4.15M in '10. The 14,000-square-foot mansion has an "entertainer's backyard with a summer kitchen, a resort-style pool and a full-size basketball court." The home has six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms and a "voluminous great room combines a living room, a dining area and a sleek kitchen." BUYERS & SELLERS: Former NHLer PAVEL DATSYUK has put his Bloomfield Township, Mich., home on the market for $4.495M. The 7,780-square-foot house has five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and three half bathrooms. The family room has a "wood-sheathed wall where three TVs are built side by side." The house also has a "sports memorabilia room," and its door is "concealed in a wood sheathed wall" (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 12/8)....Former MLBer KERRY WOOD has purchased a vintage Georgian Revival-style mansion in Winnetka, Ill., for just under $4M. The 7,798-square-foot home has six bedrooms. In June, Wood listed his six-bedroom, 11,000-square-foot French Provincial-style mansion in Winnetka for just under $4.4M, and that house "remains on the market" for just under $4.3M (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 12/11).
