Two Buyers Take Control Of David Tepper's Steelers Shares
Panthers Owner David Tepper has "divested all of his stock in the Steelers, allowing his shares as a minority partner to be purchased by two new buyers in addition to giving the Rooney family larger controlling interest in the franchise," according to the PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE. The new partners are Lending Tree CEO Doug Lebda and the NC Revocable Trust, a family-based trust in Pittsburgh. The remainder of Tepper's stock was "purchased by Pittsburgh Steelers Sports, Inc., the company that operates the Steelers." It is "not known what percent of shares each buyer purchased" (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 12/13).
