In K.C., Pete Grathoff notes Chiefs S Tyrann Mathieu recently shot a video for PETA and "willingly shut himself in a freezer to raise awareness for the plight of dogs who are left outside in the cold during the winter months." This is the second video Mathieu has made with PETA. He "previously locked himself in a car with the windows rolled up on a sunny, 90-degree day" (K.C. STAR, 12/12).
WIPE UP: Golfer Jason Dufner and DUDE Products expanded their partnership. DUDE will now appear on the front of Dufner's cap beginning with the PGA Tour Sony Open in January as part of a multiyear deal (DUDE).
MONUMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT: In DC, Scott Allen noted Capitals fan Cole Hogan designed a team-themed beer can as part of a contest put on by locally based Devils Backbone Brewing, and it "features the Washington Monument and elements of the 'Weagle' logo." Hogan's entry won based on "creativity and originality." Hogan’s design will be "featured on 16-ounce cans of Capit-Ale IPA at Capital One Arena beginning early next year and through the end of the season" (WASHINGTON POST, 12/11).
