In K.C., Blair Kerkhoff notes the Chiefs reached a multiyear agreement with Entercom that will make WDAF-FM the "new flagship station of the 70-station Chiefs Radio Network" next season. K.C.-based KCSP "will become the Chiefs' official broadcast partner." Chiefs games have been on KCFX-FM since '90. The station will remain as the team's broadcast partner "through the end of this season." Meanwhile, play-by-play man Mitch Holthus will return in '20 "for his 27th season" (K.C. STAR, 12/6).
LINEUP CARD: In St. Louis, Dan Caesar cites sources as saying that there will not be "any significant change" in FS Midwest's lineup of Cardinals broadcasters next season. Play-by-play announcer Dan McLaughlin is "expected to return, as are commentators Ricky Horton, Jim Edmonds, Tim McCarver and Brad Thompson." It previously was announced that the radio team "will stay in place -- Mike Shannon, John Rooney, Horton and Mike Claiborne" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 12/6).
FILLING BIG SHOES: In N.Y., Phil Mushnick writes, "I thought Brendan Burke would have a rough time replacing Howie Rose on MSG's Islanders telecasts, but four seasons in, Burke grows even more solid -- alert, knowledgeable, no goofy gimmicks and a good mix with analyst Butch Goring" (N.Y. POST, 12/6).
