BetMGM Signs Cross-Promotion With DAZN Ahead Of Ruiz-Joshua II

Sportsbook BetMGM has signed on as a sponsor of Saturday's heavyweight championship rematch between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Anthony Joshua, backed by a cross-promotion meant to drive DAZN subscribers in New Jersey to open BetMGM accounts and MGM players to sign up for DAZN. DAZN viewers who open BetMGM accounts can win $100 in risk-free bets if either fighter is knocked down. BetMGM players receive $20 in free bets if they sign up for DAZN before the fight. BetMGM will provide odds and sportsbook stats throughout the show, as well as co-producing a sports betting segment. BetMGM joins AutoZone and erectile dysfunction medication Roman as sponsors of the telecast, which will be presented by Vaseline.

THE CUT MAN COMETH: DAZN's deal for Vaseline as presenting sponsor was a creative get for a sport that often struggles to attract mainstream brands. Though not as endemic as a boxing glove or shoe, petroleum jelly long has occupied a visible place in combat sports, applied liberally to the faces of fighters between rounds. Vaseline will have its logo on screen through a "corner cam" that takes viewers into the corners, an apt choice, considering that is where the product is applied. All four sponsors will air commercials during the broadcast, which begins at 12:00pm ET. The main event is expected to begin at about 3:45pm ET.
