Heat Unveil Latest Vice-Themed City Edition Uniform: "ViceWave"

This marks the third straight season the Heat have used the Vice theme for their City Edition uniformsHEAT

The Heat have unveiled their latest Vice-themed City Edition uniform, a "power-blue 'Blue Gale' motif, titled 'ViceWave,' to their wardrobe," according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida SUN SENTINEL. The uniform was revealed yesterday, with "theme-related merchandise going on general sale" today. The release is the third season of the Vice theme for the Heat, which "comes with a similarly hued court," following up last season's Midnight Vice and Sunset Vice editions. In addition to the blue primary coloring, added to the "campaign mix" this season is "what the team terms 'Neon Yellow.'" The uniform was "conceived and produced in-house" by the Heat creative department (South Florida SUN SENTINEL, 11/26). Heat G Goran Dragic said of the new uniform, "Every year when the new jerseys come out you’re excited. You get so many texts and phone calls, especially from Europe. You get friends, they want, 'Hey can you hook me up with those jerseys?' It’s tough to get them, but I like them a lot" (MIAMI HERALD, 11/26).

HEADIN' NORTH: In Toronto, Ted Fraser noted the Raptors are partnering with Drake's apparel brand, OVO, on the "third iteration of their ‘Welcome Toronto’ promotion," a six-game stretch during which the team’s "snazzy new jerseys will be unveiled and local art, fashion, and music will be showcased" at Scotiabank Arena. For each of the six games, the team will be "fitted in their brand-new OVO City Edition" uniform (TORONTO STAR, 11/22).
