Media Notes

In Seattle, Jayda Evans notes Sunday's Sounders-Toronto FC MLS Cup final averaged 823,000 viewers on ABC, making it the "most-watched" final since '14. The game peaked in the second half with 1.09 million viewers. Meanwhile, Univision's telecast of the match drew 447,000 viewers, its best mark since the '16 title match, which also featured Toronto FC and the Sounders (SEATTLE TIMES, 11/12).

GRIN & BEAR IT: In Chicago, Phil Rosenthal notes the Bears' local TV ratings "recovered a bit from successive lows the previous two weeks," as Sunday's win over the Lions drew a 24.7 rating on WBBM-CBS. Ratings for the Bears' previous two games "hit lows not only for this season, but dating back" to the '17 season finale (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/12).

BEGIN AGAIN: In Denver, Jake Shapiro notes the Rapids have premiered a documentary of GK Tim Howard's final season, titled, "Just the Beginning." The film follows Howard's "final professional season as he begins his transition to a life off of the field." Howard "narrates for most of the 30 minutes while the club followed him from stadium tunnels, to his other gig broadcasting for Turner Sports, to moments in his family's home." The film appeared on the Rapids' YouTube page yesterday afternoon and "will be shown on Altitude TV later in the week" (DENVER POST, 11/12).
