Popular Dallas-Based KRLD-FM Hosts No Longer Working At Station

Dallas-based KRLD-FM is "losing two of its most popular hosts," as both Jeff "Skin" Wade and Ben Rogers are "leaving the station," according to Selby Lopez of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. At this time, it is "unknown what Rogers and Wade's next venture will be." KRLD host Shan Shariff in a tweet Saturday morning confirmed the news, writing the "Ben & Skin" show co-hosts were "not fired" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 10/27). In Ft. Worth, Mac Engel noted the pair had been "popular with local DFW athletes." It was "no secret among DFW media members that some of the changes made by new ownership" at KRLD were "not exactly warmly received." The move comes amid "significant alterations at the station that has gone through a major ownership change" from CBS to Entercom in the past year. The "Ben & Skin" show had "manned the more prominent afternoon drive slot for nearly a decade." But over the summer, the show moved to the 10:00am-2:00pm CT slot (Ft. Worth STAR-TELEGRAM, 10/27).
