Bucks' Recent Success Under Microscope Of Harvard Case Study

The Bucks' turnaround as an NBA franchise and their "quest to retain the hugely important services" of F Giannis Antetokounmpo next summer are the "subject of a new case study at Harvard Business School," according to Rick Romell of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. Harvard Professor of Business Administration Anita Elberse said that the "gist of the case study was the Bucks' 'very successful turnaround' which, on the court, took them from the league's worst record" in the '13-14 NBA season -- "just before the current ownership took over -- to the best last season." The study is "one of many designed to help mold today's MBA students at the elite institution into tomorrow's business executives." Bucks President Peter Feigin and co-Owner Jamie Dinan attended a class in Boston last week as Elberse "guided MBA students wrapping their minds around the thorny issues involved." Dinan was "struck by the diversity in the classroom" and the group's "deep grasp of the Bucks' business issues." He said that he and Feigin "started taking questions toward the end of class." The inquires involved "made for lively discussion" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/23).
