Changes Coming To NHL All-Star Skills Competition In St. Louis

There are going to be "some changes" to the NHL All-Star Skills Competition for this season's event in St. Louis, according to Elliotte Friedman of SPORTSNET. Some of the events that players have "really struggled with (such as puck control) are on the chopping block" because the NHL and NHLPA agree that they want their guys "having fun and looking happy." In addition, St. Louis has a "fantastic alumni group," so discussions are "under way on how to involve them." However, there is "concern about having alumni compete and not look good." The assumption is that female players also will be "invited again" (SPORTSNET.ca, 10/16).
