Seth Curry, Chris Bosh Headline New Campaign For CarMax

Mavericks G Seth Curry is the "headliner of a CarMax partnership" that has him making surprise visits and test drives around the Dallas area, according to Brad Townsend of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. Curry "recently surprised" Mavs fan Theo Bray with a "test drive delivery." The video that was shot that day is "part of a fall advertising campaign" that launched last night to "highlight CarMax's new personalized car-buying experience." The NBPA is also a partner in the campaign (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 10/17). In Miami, C. Isaiah Smalls II notes CarMax in another episode of the campaign tapped former NBAer Chris Bosh to "surprise an unsuspecting" Heat fan, Ella Hightower, with a test drive in Broward County. Toward the end of the ride, Hightower "admitted to forgetting that she was even test driving." That is "by design: CarMax is emphasizing convenience with this latest addition" (MIAMI HERALD, 10/17). Bosh said that the CarMax experience has "eased the transition" into retirement from playing due to a blood clot condition (South Florida SUN SENTINEL, 10/17).
