Nets Shake Up Broadcast Teams, Move Spanarkel To Studio Shows

Jim Spanarkel, a longtime Nets commentator, will no longer call any games in the new setupGETTY IMAGES

The Nets will add Jim Spanarkel as a "regular studio analyst" on the team's pregame TV show, shifting him from games to "strictly studio" work, according to Andrew Marchand of the N.Y. POST. NBA reporter Frank Isola also will "do about 25 studio dates" with the pregame show, hosted by Bob Lorenz, Chris Shearn and Nancy Newman. Nets games broadcasts will have "two network-level play-by-players" with Ryan Ruocco and longtime Nets voice Ian Eagle. Sarah Kustok will be the "main analyst after spurning the Clippers." Kustok had one year left on her deal, but YES "let her talk to the Clippers before giving her a new contract to keep her." Former NBAer Richard Jefferson also will do games, and on some "big matchups, YES will go with a three-person team of Kustok and Jefferson with Eagle or Ruocco." WFAN's Nets radio team of Chris Carrino and Tim Capstraw also is "top-notch" (N.Y. POST, 10/11).
