Bet On It: Colts Signs FanDuel As Official DFS Sponsor
The gray area between the NFL and its prohibition of sportsbook promotion by its teams gets another inhabitant today with FanDuel's announcement of a DFS agreement deal with the Colts. While the deal clearly is delineated as an exclusive DFS sponsorship, which falls within the NFL's rules, it is no coincidence that FanDuel signed it this month, as legal sport wagering goes mobile in Indiana. FanDuel also recently announced a deal with former Colts P Pat McAfee, a frequent contributor on FanDuel's sports betting TV show "More Ways to Win." McAfee will make appearances at FanDuel's two Indiana sportsbook locations, near the Ohio and Illinois borders. With league sports betting policy still evolving, the team deal sunsets at the end of this season.
