The Flyers will debut a new immersive fan experience at Wells Fargo Center when they the play their home opener tomorrow night, as the Gritty C.O.M.M.A.N.D. Center will allow fans to get a peek into the world of the team's beloved mascot. The space, which is part of Comcast Spectacor's $265M makeover of the arena, occupies a former mechanical space that was retrofitted to give fans an opportunity to get "Grittified" by professional stylists. Fans can get a variety of makeover options, encompassing everything from orange hair dye and face paint, to hair extensions and wigs, or simply getting blasted with orange "Grit Powder." Treatments start at $10, with "Total Gritty" makeovers also available. Reservations are encouraged, though walk-up appointments exclusively will be available tomorrow night. Flyers and Wells Fargo Center President of Business Operations Valerie Camillo said, "We really went about the design and development from the standpoint of creating something special for fans, not a standalone profit center. It's part of the overall offering and experience of attending a game."
