Bridgestone Arena Renovations Add New Scoreboard, Premium Area
Bridgestone Arena will have a "much bigger, state-of-the-art scoreboard, better food and waterless urinals" as part of more than $8M in renovations made to the facility this NHL offseason, according to Mike Organ of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. The Predators signed a new 30-year lease agreement with Nashville in June, and the renovations are "part of a long-term plan to spruce up the building." The new video board is "called FangVision," and is 22 feet tall and 34 feet wide. The previous board was 12 feet tall and 20 feet wide, meaning the "new one is 300% larger." The new board also has 450% "higher resolution." The total cost of the multi-phase upgrades to the scoreboard, which began last offseason, was $15M. The renovations also added a "new premium space room" on the suite level that can accommodate up to 50 people (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 9/19).
