Executive Transactions

The XFL named Warriors Assistant General Counsel MALI FRIEDMAN VP/Business & Legal Affairs. Friedman will report to XFL President & COO JEFFREY POLLACK. She is the third senior female exec in the XFL's employ, following L.A. Wildcats President HEATHER BROOKS KARATZ and N.Y. Guardians President JANET DUCH (Terry Lefton, THE DAILY).

ON CAMPUS: The Univ. of Florida named Tailgate Guys COO CHIP HOWARD Exec Associate AD (UF)....Saint Mary's College promoted AD & Dir of Recreation MIKE MATOSO to VP/Intercollegiate Athletics. Matoso is entering his third year as head of the athletic department (SMC).

EXECS: The Celtics named former WNBAer ALLISON FEASTER Dir of Player Development. Prior to joining the Celtics, Feaster oversaw the NBA G League's professional path initiative (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/7)....PBR made the following hires: Cavaliers Senior Dir of Premium & Corporate Partnership Development JOSH BAKER was named Senior VP/Corporate Partnerships. Meanwhile, former AAF Memphis Express President KOSHA IRBY was named to the newly created role of Senior VP/Business Development & Consumer Events (PBR)....Mariners Dir of Dominican Operations EDDY TOLEDO was "informed by the organization that he would not have his contract renewed for next season" (SEATTLE TIMES, 9/6)....The White Sox promoted team scout MIKE SHIRLEY to Dir of Amateur Scouting. Shirley replaces NICK HOSTETLER, who was promoted to Special Assistant to the GM in July (White Sox)....The Devils promoted Assistant GM TOM FITZGERALD to Exec VP & Assistant GM and Senior Dir of Player Personnel DAN MACKINNON to Senior VP & Assistant GM (AP, 9/7)....The USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) named former BP Dir of Olympic & Paralympic Marketing GEORGE BAUERNFEIND Managing Dir of Marketing & Communications.
