Buyers & Sellers: $325.5M Yacht Owned By Paul Allen For Sale

A 414-foot mega-yacht that belonged to the late PAUL ALLEN is up for sale for $325.5M. That price is "more than four times" what Allen paid for the Trail Blazers when he bought the team in '88 for about $70M. The yacht includes a "swimming pool with adjacent bar, basketball court, movie theater, spa, library and a glass-bottomed observation lounge for spying on some fish" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 9/5).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Colts Owner JIM IRSAY is selling his home just outside Indianapolis for $2.5M. Irsay is also selling $1.5M worth of adjoining land. The nearly 12,000-square-foot home features "seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with a pond, basketball and sand volleyball courts, creek and woods outside." The main home has a "wet bar and 4-car garage," and there is a "carriage house on the property." The guest home is 2,500 square feet and has two bedrooms and three bathrooms (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 8/30)....Baseball HOFer MARIANO RIVERA has listed his home in Tampa for $3.5M. The seven-bedroom, seven-bath, 9,250-square-foot house has its own "gated entry into a brick courtyard." Amenities include a "pool with a waterfall, a gym, a billiard room with built-in bar and a theater with movie-style seating" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 9/4)....Rams OT ANDREW WHITWORTH has purchased a home in L.A. for $6.05M. The 10,000-square-foot mansion has eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, "features large windows and a fireplace before opening to a Zen garden." There is also a swimming pool and basketball court outside (L.A. TIMES, 8/30).
