Arkansas-Mizzou To Be Played At Arrowhead Stadium In '20

The Univ. of Missouri has "agreed to move" their '20 regular-season home finale against Arkansas, as well as "another future game," to Arrowhead Stadium, according to Dave Matter of the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH. MU "last played at Arrowhead" in '15 against BYU. The school "made an agreement" with the Chiefs to "return there for another game that would attract a bigger crowd." MU AD Jim Sterk said that this new contract with the Chiefs is a "two-game deal with an agreement that the second game would happen" by '25. MU had "tentatively planned to move" its '24 home game against Boston College to Arrowhead, but the Chiefs "hoped to host a more attractive opponent that would attract a bigger crowd." MU's matchup against Arkansas has "become a staple on Black Friday the last five years, but the Tigers have struggled to draw fans for the last two home games against the Razorbacks," drawing just 51,043 in '16 and 52,482 last year (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 8/28). In Columbia, Eric Blum notes this will be MU's "ninth time playing at Arrowhead Stadium," where they are 6-2 all-time (COLUMBIA DAILY TRIBUNE, 8/28).
