Buyers & Sellers: Obama Set To Purchase Wyc Grousbeck's Estate

PRESIDENT OBAMA is in "escrow to purchase" Celtics Managing Partner & CEO WYC GROUSBECK's 29-acre Martha’s Vineyard estate for $14.85M. The "seven-bedroom, eight-bath oceanfront mansion spans 6,892 square feet." Grousbeck initially listed the estate for $22.5M in '15, but has since "cut the price." Built in '01, the home includes "multiple seating and entertaining spaces; two guest wings; a master suite with fireplace, private sun deck and water views; as well as an outdoor pool" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 8/22).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Cardinals defensive coordinator VANCE JOSEPH purchased a home in the Clearwater Hills community of Paradise Valley, Ariz., for $2.55M. The 5,263-square-foot hillside lot estate includes a "negative-edge pool and a patio that offers elevated views of the surrounding Phoenix Mountains Preserve" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 8/19)....Baseball HOFer CHIPPER JONES is selling his home in Milton, Ga., for $3.75M. The 8,795-square-foot home for sale sits on 4.4 acres and has "seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and four half-baths." There is a "cabana with two pizza ovens" near the heated saltwater pool/waterfall (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 8/15)....Former Bulls coach FRED HOIBERG sold his Burr Ridge, Ill., home for $3.55M. Set on about 1.2 acres, the interior is "nearly all white and includes six bedrooms, eight baths and a temperature-controlled wine room" (CHICAGOBUSINESS.com, 8/21)....Former NFLer REGGIE BUSH has put his "contemporary-style house" in West L.A. on the market for $9.995M. A "pivoting glass and marble front door gives way to an open-concept floor plan" spanning 7,500 square feet of living space (L.A. TIMES, 8/20)....Tennis player MIKE BRYAN's is selling his home in Camarillo, Calif., for $2.195M. The 5,424-square-foot home has "five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms" (L.A. TIMES, 8/20).
