Jody Allen Is No. 1 Most Influential Person In Oregon Sports

Trail Blazers Chair JODY ALLEN has been named the most influential person in Oregon sports by the Portland OREGONIAN's John Canzano, after she "assumed the decision-making power over the state's top professional sports franchise" following the death of her brother, Trail Blazers Owner PAUL ALLEN, on Oct. 15 last year. Allen now "holds the keys to a pivotal decision that many think will unfold in the coming year or so," as the Trail Blazers' lease at Moda Center expires in '25 and is "said to be 'iron clad.'" The Trail Blazers "aren’t going anywhere." But there are "a lot of unknowns, which only amplifies her juice in state." Paul Allen "may have passed away, but his influence has been passed to his younger sister" (Portland OREGONIAN, 8/17).
