Air Force promoted interim AD JENNIFER BLOCK to Exec AD, a "new role atop the athletic department." Block, who "retired from the Air Force as a colonel in April," became the "first female athletic director at a Division I service academy" when she served in an interim capacity from April '18 through Feb. '19. Block now "technically replaces" former AD JIM KNOWLTON and will "serve as the senior government official in athletics" (Colorado Springs GAZETTE, 8/13)
