LAFC Fans Can Order Concessions Prior To Start Of Matches

LAFC have rolled out a system that will allow fans to use Apple’s Business Chat app to make food and beverage purchases ahead of soccer matches at Banc of California Stadium. To start an Apple Business Chat to “Order-Ahead,” customers can open the camera on their Apple mobile device, scan a QR code in the stadium or tap the messages icon in the LAFC app. A conversation with Olly, LAFC’s AI-powered virtual assistant, will then open instantly in the customer’s Messages application. Users can respond and make orders at their convenience. Customers also can ask Olly to make in-game food/beverage purchases and answer questions about, for example, wait times at concession lines. Satisfi Labs, which also counts NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL teams as clients, handled the development of Olly and the back-end integration of the Apple Business Chat and Apple Pay with LAFC’s app. “We’ve been live at two games so far and the fan response has been tremendous,” Satisfi CEO & co-Founder Don White said. “People really like the info, especially on wait times and the smooth interface.”
