ESPN signed Wendy’s as a new official sponsor for the X Games, which will be held in Minneapolis next month. Wendy’s joins Harley-Davidson, Hotels.com, Monster Energy, Nexcare First Aid Products, Pacifico, SoFi and The Real Cost (FDA) as official sponsors. Geico returns as the official music stage sponsor (John Ourand, THE DAILY).

TEN YEARS AFTER: Puma Golf introduced X Collection, a "new line designed to celebrate the brand’s 10-year anniversary with Rickie Fowler." The golfer will "wear the collection" at the Open Championship this week. X Collection "incorporates modern design" while it "derives its inspiration from the traditional fabrics and patterns of the British Isles, incorporating houndstooth details and a navy, green and white color palette" (WWD.com, 7/15).

RULE ENFORCEMENT: Capitals RW Tom Wilson "reminded Metro riders to 'Be Vigilant' in a new advertisement" that "plays on his role" as the team's enforcer. In the ad, Wilson "speaks to his vigilance on and off the ice before ending with 'if you see something, say something,' one of the campaigns and slogans of many transit authorities" (NBCSPORTSWASHINGTON.com, 7/12).
