MLB Marketing Notes: Supercuts To Debut New Effort During ASG

MLB corporate sponsor Supercuts is using tonight’s All-Star Game telecast on Fox to launch a new brand campaign. The effort will mark the first creative work for MLB’s official hair stylist from agency TBWA\Chiat\Day, L.A.. Actor Michael Kelly will be featured in the campaign, which will run across TV, digital, pre-roll, social and radio outlets (Terry Lefton, THE DAILY).

BIG FISH: MLB.com's Thomas Harrigan noted Angels CF Mike Trout yesterday visited the Rock & Roll HOF in Cleveland to celebrate the "launch of the Nike Force Zoom Trout 6." Trout, the only active MLBer with his own signature Nike cleat, had a "big hand in the design process." The shoe features a "new midfoot strap as well as a pronounced toe cap, as requested by Trout." It also includes some "personal touches, such as the area code of his hometown of Millville, N.J." (MLB.com, 7/8).

ALL TOGETHER: Indians SS Francisco Lindor, Clippers F Kawhi Leonard and U.S. sprinter Sydney McLaughlin are among those featured in New Balance's new "Runs In The Family" spot, which touts the recently-launched New Balance 997S shoe (SNEAKERNEWS.com, 7/8).
