In Salt Lake City, Andy Larsen reports Adidas formally launched the signature shoe of Jazz G Donovan Mitchell, the D.O.N. Issue #1, "in conjunction with the release of Marvel's 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' movie on July 2." The shoe "will have four colorways, all themed with Spider-Man in mind, released a few weeks apart throughout the summer." Mitchell's nickname is Spider-Man, and to promote the shoe and the movie, he "released a crossover commercial" featuring Tom Holland, who stars in the film (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 6/27).

CLEVELAND ROCKS: In Cleveland, Kevin Kleps noted consumers will be "seeing a lot of Fanatics" during the '19 MLB All-Star Game festivities, as the online retailer will be "operating the MLBshop.com store that will be located at Play Ball Park." Fanatics Dir of Global Communications Brandon Williams said that the store will "span 20,000 square feet and have 15,000 square feet of space for MLB licensees," including many of the "usual suspects." Fanatics will also have "retail kiosks at three hotels" (CRAINSCLEVELAND.com, 6/26).

SUMMER STYLE: Venus Williams on July 12 will mark the start of the World TeamTennis season by offering her EleVen activewear label "at a pop-up shop" in DC. Fans will be "able to buy an assortment of her athletic looks and courtside-inspired styles at the pop-up." The range will be a "curated selection of her label’s more elevated ath-leisure options" (WWD.com, 6/26).
