Austin FC Releases New Renderings Of Stadium, Premium Areas

MLS expansion club Austin FC has "released 10 new stadium renderings" ahead of the team's season-ticket deposit campaign that starts tomorrow, according to Chris Bils of the AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN. The renderings released yesterday were "primarily of suite and club areas, but there were also two updated images of the stadium bowl, including a close-up look at the south stand, where the approximately 3,400-member supporters section will be." Next to the south stand will be a "supporters bar, with room for food trucks, beer taps and areas for fans to gather." The images also show a "larger roof that will cover all 20,500 seats and a wide stadium screen located centrally above the supporters stand." For premium season-ticket holders, the renderings show "three club spaces that will correspond to different levels of access and pricing." An East Club area, which will "house 650 premium seats in the lower east stands, features an indoor bar with an outdoor patio overlooking the amphitheater outside the stadium." The largest of the three premium sections is the West Club, "equipped to handle about 1,500 premium season-ticket members with seats on the west side." Meanwhile, the "priciest offering will be the Field Club, serving about 380 patrons with access to field-level seats and a bar area that sits adjacent to the player tunnel." Another 25 "air-conditioned suites that each feature 16 seats overlooking the pitch" were also shown in the renderings (STATESMAN.com, 6/10).
