Rockets To Unveil First New Primary Uniform Since '03-04 Season

The Rockets will have "new uniforms next season, the first change to the team's primary uniform" since '03, according to Jonathan Feigen of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. The team plans to "unveil red and white primary uniforms and an additional one-season special uniform" at a June 20 Draft-night event for season-ticket holders. Details about the event "have not been announced," and the team has "revealed little about the changes." Rockets Owner Tilman Fertitta last May said that he "did not expect anything as extreme" as the change in the '95 season. The black uniforms the Rockets wore in recent seasons will be the "only uniforms from last season that will return." The Rockets "have not changed the look of their uniforms, save the annual special and throwback uniforms the team has worn, since moving into Toyota Center" for the '03-04 season (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 6/6).
