Hornets Revamp Business Side In Wake Of Pete Guelli's Departure

The Hornets are "revamping the business side" of the franchise through a series of internal promotions, according to Erik Spanberg of the CHARLOTTE BUSINESS JOURNAL. The moves come in the wake of last month's departure of Exec VP & COO Pete Guelli, who left to become NFL Giants Chief Commercial Officer. Some of the changes being made to the Hornets' 160 business side employees include creating a CRO position and adding "broader responsibilities for the former heads of marketing and partnerships." The Hornets promoted Senior VP/Ticket Sales & Service Jacob Gallagher to the new CRO position. The team also is "establishing a brand-management division" to be run by VP/Partnerships & Creative Services Josh Kramer, who will now "steer communications, corporate social responsibility, creative services and digital media." Hornets Senior VP/Marketing Seth Bennett will now "run the new fan experience and traditional marketing division" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 5/13).
