The Breeders' Cup named veteran marketing exec CHRISTOPHER MCNAMARA Senior VP/Corporate Partnerships, its top sponsorship post. McNamara will oversee the business development and sponsorship sales. Based out of Lexington, he began work earlier this month and is reporting directly to Exec VP & COO DREW FLEMING. McNamara comes to the Breeders' Cup from Lexington-based marketing agency Cornett. He replaced BRYAN PETTIGREW, who left in February and is now Tournament Dir of the PGA Tour Barbasol Championship in Kentucky (Liz Mullen, THE DAILY).

EXECS: U.S. Open Tournament Dir DAVID BREWER is "stepping down after this year's championship" and will also "leave his job" as USTA Chief Professional Tennis Officer. Brewer joined the USTA in '97 and became U.S. Open Tournament Dir in '12 (AP, 4/24)....Octagon named NWSL VP/Sponsorship Sales SUSIE PIOTRKOWSKI VP/New Business, which will see her lead business development for the agency’s U.S. marketing and event business. She will report to EVP & CMO of North America LOU KOVACS and be based in Boston (Adam Stern, THE DAILY)....Banc of California Stadium Entertainment President ADAM FRIEDMAN has "agreed to step back from his full-time roll" with LAFC. Club co-Owner & President TOM PENN confirmed that "no replacement will be named" (DAILYNEWS.com, 4/24)....Aquarius Sports & Entertainment promoted Senior Manager of Client Services HILARY GOLDBERG to Dir of Client Services (THE DAILY)....Sports gambling company SBTech named JOANN PIERCE Business Development Exec for the U.S. (THE DAILY).
