Mets COO Jeff Wilpon and Bruins alternate governor and Delaware North co-CEO Jeremy Jacobs Jr. are investing in a venture fund affiliated with the Packers. Titletown Tech is a new venture opening this summer across the street from Lambeau Field. Part of the effort is the venture fund designed to invest in companies in the area. The fund started with $10M co-invested from Microsoft and the Packers. While the team would not disclose how much Wilpon and Jacobs are putting in, a spokesperson said it is a significant part of the $10-15M added to the VC fund with the latest fund raising round. The fund, which has yet to invest, is managed by Cordero Barkley, formerly with Wells Fargo and Associated Bank. Titletown Tech is housed in Titletown, a now $200M mixed-used development that opened in '17. Titletown Tech will include an accelerator, is adding an “entrepreneur in residence,” and even a new restaurant in partnership with Topgolf with virtual golfing. As part of today’s VC announcement, the Packers are also extending Delaware North’s contract to run concessions at Lambeau Field and in Titletown. The concessionaire has managed Lambeau’s concessions since '12 and began managing them in Titletown when the space opened in '17. Wilpon's family business, real estate developer Sterling Equities, has a role in developing Titletown.
